Cat.....hmmmm? Our adopted cat is a Bengal, I'll stick up for him.
How did you get into the veterinary Field?
I started as a kennel attendant doing play time and poop scoop duty but did not realize my goal to become a veterinarian at that time. Later in my highschool years preparing for college my mom became frustrated with me whining about not knowing what to do in life. She sat me down in the kitchen with the Yellow Pages and said to start in the A's...(I remember flipping thru the pages with sarcasm)...but, to this day I still don't know why, when I got to the B's it absolutely hit me. I wanted to be a veterinarian!
What were you doing before you worked at Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic?
Working in veterinary emergency medicine at Veterinary Specialty Services.
Tell us a funny or interesting story about your pet(s) at home.
My family recently adopted a goat, Sunflower, from the Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. She seemed shy and timid when we first met her at the ranch but showed her outgoing and sweet personality once we got her settled in at home.
